What’s a good book to use when learning to play violin?
My mom wants to learn violin, and I’m trying to find a good starter book for her to teach herself with. No musical background at all–doesn’t know how to read music or anything….any thoughts?
Thanks!
It’s good to refer to books but since u dont know how to read music it’s better if u take a lesson from youtube

I learnt typing as well as boxing in this way. I am sure u will learn well. There are several other videos with this link u can take lessons step by step.
All the Best! :d

Well you probably all ready know the best way to go is lessons. The proper technique is so important so that you can not only get the sound you want but to avoid injury. But some books that I think are superb is the Suzuki method. I found them at my library, you also may other starter violin books there. I learnt the violin at a "later" ( of sorts) age with no past musical experience so no worries when it come to that! Wish her all the luck!
