Gavotte Gossec Violin self-learning
I’ve been trying to teach myself the violin for the past 5 months and found a new passion. This is my favorite piece in the Suzuki book (still on book 1) and the most difficult for me to practice. I don’t even know if my staccato bowing is legitimate, haha. To any violin players out there, I gladly welcome good advice and suggestions (bowing, posture, non-string-hacking staccato technique.)
Thanks to professorv, Ben Chan, and many others for their great violin lesson videos. Self-learning violin is truly tough but would be impossible without their generosity.

yeah i would also say word on ur posture i know my teacher gets on us for that and try workin on ur dynamics……..as for staccato ur more bouncy then short make then short and crisp
Very nice! You play …
Very nice! You play it very well! Just some advice: Work on you Posture!! The violin is not spoused to be slanted down with the scroll of the violin to the ground! >.> If you do that, automatically, your body leans into it, closing everything off. Be more open and proud with a straight back, shoulders back, and violin up. Doing this will greatly increase your sound! Be more confident, you play very well for someone who only started 5 months ago. Keep it up and you will do great things!! :3

Very nice :], Just a few tips, try playing a bit closer to the bridge and try to develop more wrist motion, and not relying solely on your arms. I really like your vibrato thought. Keep up the good work!
