i am confused what type brand of rosin should i buy?
As with anything you buy, always get the best one you can afford. If you are taking private lessons, ask your teacher. Otherwise, go to a reputable dealer in instruments and supplies and ask someone there. Usually, they are all very knowledgeable. If you are a very beginning student, any rosin will do for the time being.
