@hensheler20 — thanks so much…my sister and i (we both do the sound samples here on eboyinc) really appreciate the support we get here on youtube. practice time varies, but just in case my teacher sees this, i’m definately shooting for 3-6 hours a day. but we both play in several youth orchestras, chamber groups, quartets, etc, so if you count the rehearsal times and stuff like that, we’re probably close to the six hours a day.
@eboyinc — Its not …

@hensheler20 — whoa, thanks so much!!! i’m still just a student and working hard at it…lots of practice. i don’t think you have to be born to play, but loving music and hard work is the most important thing. anybody can do it. i’m glad to have you watching the vids!

@moonlightandlove — thanks so much!!! when my sister and i started doing these videos, we had two kinds of requests…1) lots of requests asking us to show our faces…and (2) lots of requests asking us to show bowings and fingerings. we figured the bowings and fingerings were more important…so we started doing it

well, thats alot of …
well, thats alot of material, but its all good stuff and i think you’re teacher is right on target. mozart 3 is a high level piece–mozart is tricky and a mozart concerto is a requirement for most conservatories. i try to focus on the quality of my practicing; go slowly with alot of critical thinking…don’t worry about playing at speed until the very end; and if you’re really overwhelmed, ask your teacher if they have a suggestion. you should post some of your practice sessions
because i started …
because i started late, my teacher wantes me to just play through the standard excersice books (mazas, kayser, kreutzer, shradick) before we move on the higher level ones. As for pieces, im playing the first mov of the Mozart concerto in G maj (with cadenza- franklin), the beethoven spring sonata (1st mov), malaguena by sarasate, adagio and presto from Bach sonata… there are so much to practice, its so hard to find an efficient way because Im limited on time… thanks!
well, i’m probably …
well, i’m probably not the right person to ask as i’m also in high school and i guess i don’t have to tell you that its a struggle to find enough practice time and homework time to get it all done. my best suggestion is to get as much practice in as you can; split it up if that makes sense. i practice in the morning, after school and some more at night. tell me what kind of pieces you’re playing?
Any advice on how …
Im in highschool and have played for almost 5 years
Any advice on how and what to practice? Thanks!
it seems when I …
it seems when I practice for and hour or 2, it feels like 30 min. -1hr! Where did the time go?? I think it is just like you said, the enjoyment of playing, and i truly love the violin. XD Thank you for taking the time to reply! You play so well!!
i try to practice …
i try to practice at least 3 hours a day; some days i do more, some days less (shhhh…don’t tell anyone). i break it up into 2 or 3 sessions of practice, and sometimes “practice” will include thumbing through books and sightreading…playing for enjoyment, that kind of thing. i just try and mix it up; but put in the hours at the same time.
You play so well! = …
You play so well! =) How long do you practice per day? Just curious XD
my brother and i …
my brother and i are still in high school. we’re not ready for professional work yet, but we hope to eventually go to a conservatory and maybe after four years of studying with the right teachers, we’d have a chance at playing professionally
are you sure you’re …

I’d kill to be in your position!!!!
thank you sooo much …
thank you sooo much!!! thats a very nice compliment. each video is played on a different violin; we get a few minutes to tune it and select a piece to do, then we record. i try to let the violin tell me how to play since i want to let it speak for itself…but i know what you mean at 1:47. perhaps on another violin…another sound sample
you play this like …
you play this like a real master. never heard better trust me i have heard many violinists play this. its one playce that i dont realy love and its 1:47-1:55 i want it much more agressive. have little more cres. and decresendon so wold that be the far best preformance ever on that piece trust me.
