Yes, I think you can do it!
I taught myself guitar when I was 15.
I also taught myself French Horn at 16.
If you're motivated, you can do it.
References :
No, it is never too late to start something new. You should be learning lots of new things all of your life. The older you get; the more you will appreciate everything. Soak up everything and enjoy everything. Don't live your life to regret all of the wonderful things you wish you had done. The older you get the better everything will be.
To make it even better; start keeping a journal of what you do and when you do it and what you thought about. You will probably have many journals at the end of your life.
Have a great life. It is more precious than a lot of people realize.
References :
If you you have this much drive at 15 to learn to play the violin then I can only imagine how you will be performing 5 years from now. There are so many online tutorials and a lot of stuff on you tube that will show you posture, the correct way to play and how to read the charts. The most important thing is to learn to on sight read especially if you want to master the violin and as a professional musician you can work with almost anyone and even market your skills for the wedding industry in the future. There are many agencies that are always looking for younger talent. Practice at least an hour everyday and you will be a professional in 3 years. Also once you learn the basics you can offer basic beginning violin lessons in your city and use that money to help yourself with advance lessons. Try different teachers so you learn different techniques and styles until you discover your own tru talent as a musician. Good Luck
References :
With your intention, you can learn anything!!! Never late to learn..good luck!!!
References :
You're never too old to start learning. I learned only a few days ago how to play the flute and I am older than 14. Don't get discouraged and always try, try again.
References :
Hey!! Well done!!! Thats fantastic!! Wow. I can't stop praising you. It's never to late to learn to play. Do remember that violin does take a few years to perfect the technique, but don't worry, you need that time to perfect how to play it. Truely - well done. You're school should have some music classes you can join. Apart from that, contact your local university's music dept, and a student there studying violin who will give you lessons. They won't charge much and they will be keen to get the opportunity to teach as well. Good luck with it all.
References :
Viola and Violin player
