what would be a good quality brand name violin for a student?
if any one knows any very good quality brand names of violins that you would like to recomend me i would be very gratefull. because i am looking to buy a violin to own because i am currently renting one. so if anyone knows any good ones please tell me….

You should have said which country your are in (United States?) and what your price range is.
I would ask at your violin shop and see what they have. You should be able to get a beginner’s outfit for about $300. Make sure you buy it from a proper violin shop so that it is set up correctly.
Do NOT buy it from ebay or from a general music shop.
You cannot just go on brands. If the violin has not been set up correctly then it will not sound very good.
