WOW! This violin’s …
WOW! This violin’s tone is so original and beautiful! It’s right up there with my friends, and her’s in over 300 years old! Her’s sounds basically like a viola and is goregeous, but this one is just…. different. and in an INCREDIBLY good way. love the tone and the playing!

hi dave, these violins are part of a major collection of instruments amassed over a lifetime by a professional violinist and are now in the hands of their estate. we were asked to do these sound samples to help catalog the collection. the strings, for the most part, are old and we rarely recognize them.

My comment may be redundant, but,… my… what dynamic sound from that violin!
(even if I , may say so, don’t like the way really light maple topped violins look)
It would be quite a pleasant surprise for us were one, or both of you to pick out one or two of your favourite violins and play your favourite piece so we can feel the sound more, rather than just a sonic test sample.

I Love Praeludium and Allegro. This violin has a beautiful sound. I Really like the vibrato, especially the long note at the end. And I Really Liked It.

That is an unusual violin in that it seems to be responsive on all strings up and down. Also someone set that one up just right. If you know who set the sound post send him or her a complimentary ticket to heaven.
