I am a violinist and I will have a concert in a few weeks. I really don’t know where could I buy the best violin strings. I know what are the best but I don’t know where to buy them at the Philippines. Cud u help me out.

It really depends on your idea of good. If you are a soloist, like I am, the Infeld Reds are designed to be very loud and throughout with the sound. The string naturally is designed to send out loud notes without that pressing feeling. A regular 1 set with all 4 strings costs about 40 US dollars.

There is the one with the green lady on the cover by Pistraro or something I can’t remember the name off the top of my head which is a good overall string work about half of the Infelds. Really you should stick with the strings you have because if you switch strings it takes time for the string to settle in and tuning will be a pain in the neck for the first couple of weeks. If you do plan on switching strings do it ASAP so it doesn’t go out of tune onstage in the middle of the song. Or you could just improvise by placing your fingers higher or lower depending on how far the string has slipped if on concert day its still going out of tune quickly.
