Sound sample of a very fine old 19th Century violin, possibly by Boston maker. The sound sample is TAMBOURINE by François-Joseph Gossec (1734-1829), a French composer of operas, string quartets, symphonies, and choral works. He’s an interesting composer (worth looking up his bio). This piece was originally written for flute. The player is a student violinist.
